Tyson
I am fascinated with how our thoughts/personalities develop. How we process our inner lives and how we share this life with the world outside if we choose. How this process forms our individual histories and even further how we view our created history. I found an extraordinary subject in my boyfriend’s 9-year-old son, Tyson. Photographing him, I find he is at times powerful, sensitive, defiant, inquisitive, lost. I experience first hand the depth and sacredness of his process to define and present himself to the world. Watching Tyson continually learn and change, I find pieces to my own story. Transported back through my life, able to see once again those long forgotten memories. Creating a new layer, a line from past to present.
